If you are coming by car, you will be given a parking permit which you will need to display in your car for the duration of the conference. There is parking available close to both James France (our main conference building) and Edward Herbert (where we will have breakfast and evening meals). If you require an accessible parking space, please let us know so that we can arrange this for you. The Sat Nav postcode is LE11 3TU.

Please use the Kinch ‘Sprint’ bus service – the buses go from right outside the train station. The drivers are very friendly and will let you know when to get off the bus.

There should be taxis right outside the station that you can hop into.

Alternatively, ADT taxis are based on the university campus on 01509260000 – you will need to phone en-route if you would like to use them (give about 30 minutes notice). The taxi fare should cost around £7 (depending on traffic).

The conference

The conference officially starts at 12 o’clock with the opening of the exhibition. However, if you arrive early, you are more than welcome to join the morning CPD sessions which start at 10.30 and 11.30.

You will be able to collect your room key and free Wifi login from the Welcome desk (you will be able to check in to your accommodation from 3pm). You can also bring an Ethernet cable to connect your laptop in the accommodation, if you wish.

Friday night we will be holding the ATP games – if you would like to join in then flat shoes or bare feet are probably best! There will also be a choice of a quiz for those of us who are feeling less energetic!

We will be having a disco after our gala dinner so bring your dancing shoes.

All accommodation and conference buildings are non-smoking. However, there are some dedicated outside smoking areas.

You will have towels and tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. If you need an iron, please contact Whitworth reception and you will be able to borrow one (please note they are in limited supply).
